How does LegalInk keep our legal data confidential?
Data is encrypted with TLS 1.2+ in transit and AES-256 at rest, and isolated per tenant using row-level security. Practices are DPDP-aligned, and customer drafts and uploads are never used to train AI models — ours or our providers'.
Where is our data stored?
Production data currently sits on Supabase enterprise infrastructure in the Tokyo region. India (Mumbai) data residency is on the roadmap; we'll confirm the timeline directly when you raise it in a procurement review.
Is LegalInk SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certified?
Not yet — SOC 2 Type 1 and ISO 27001 readiness are on the 2026 roadmap, and we publish honest milestones on our Trust page. The underlying architecture — encryption, row-level security, audit logging, and DPDP-aligned data handling — is built to those standards today.

LegalInk is BNS/BNSS 2023 native and grounded against a verified registry of Indian statutes and judgments. It refuses to output a section number or citation it cannot verify, stating its uncertainty instead — which is the core safeguard against the hallucinated-law risk that makes generic AI unsafe for legal work.
